Curriculum

Evidence-based curriculum for schools & families.

Prosser Thrive works with schools and community partners to implement research-backed programs proven to reduce risk factors and strengthen protective factors in youth.

Classroom · Grades K–5

PAX Good Behavior Game

A universal classroom behavior management strategy that teaches children self-regulation, teamwork, and impulse control. Teachers use the PAX tools to create a calm, focused learning environment — and the effects last well beyond the classroom.

Why it works

Research shows PAX GBG reduces aggression, improves academic performance, and has long-term protective effects against substance use and mental health issues.

Classroom · Grades 4–8

Second Step

One of the most widely-used social-emotional learning programs in the country, Second Step teaches students skills for learning, empathy, emotion management, and problem-solving — building the foundation for healthy decision-making.

Why it Works

Multiple studies show Second Step reduces physical aggression, increases prosocial behavior, and improves school climate — with lasting protective effects against substance use.

K–12 Student Support

Communities in Schools

CIS has a proven track record of keeping at-risk students in school, improving graduation rates, and connecting youth to the support they need to thrive — academically and personally.

Peer Mentoring · Grades 9–12

Link Crew

A peer-to-peer mentoring program where upperclassmen are trained to guide incoming freshmen through one of the most vulnerable transitions in a young person's life — the move to high school. Link Crew pairs new students with positive role models from day one, building connection, belonging, and confidence throughout their first year.

Why it Works

Research shows that students who feel connected at school are significantly less likely to engage in high-risk behaviors, including substance use. Link Crew reduces the emotional stress of the high school transition and has been shown to improve academic performance, reduce discipline issues, and foster a healthier school culture overall.
