What Does the Prosser Thrive Coalition Do? Provide Resources. Empower Youth. Educate Parents.
Preventing substance abuse begins with each and every one of us: Parents. Teachers. Students. The Community. We're constantly working to make a positive impact in the lives of Prosser youths through education, activities, and support.Â
Keeping it fun with activities like parties, game nights, and more.
Learning about drugs, alcohol, and mental health issues and how they affect today's youth.
Getting local businesses and organizations involved in our quest for a healthier community.
Providing leadership education and networking opportunities for the changemakers of tomorrow.
Get involved! You can make a difference!
The Prosser Thrive Coalition is made up of many different people from all across our community that are dedicated to helping youth pave the way to a brighter future—one healthy choice at a time. We need the voices of parents, business owners, teachers, grandparents, youth, community leaders, healthcare workers, law enforcement, and many others to join our table and our cause. The work we do not only impacts the life of our youth but our community as a whole. As we work together, we can create a healthy and safe community for all who live and work within.
Some of the Topics We Tackle Alcohol and drug abuse are tough subjects. Let's talk about them.
Talking about drugs, alcohol, and mental health can be uncomfortable for everyone involved. We address these subjects with real stories, useful information, and practical resources to set everyone up for success.Â
Talk. They Hear You. Substance Abuse Prevention Starts at Home.
When it comes to keeping young people off drugs and alcohol, there is no more important role than that of a parent. We work with local families to help them learn to have productive conversations around the dangers of drug and alcohol use.Â
Got Leftover Meds? Don't Keep Them. Don't Flush Them.
Did you know that the safest way to dispose of prescription drugs is by participating in a drug take-back program? Help keep our community safe and protect the environment—find the next drug take-back event and #TakeBackYourMeds!
